Social inequality will improve when everyone is working hard to ensure that all citizens have access to:
- quality education
- health care
- housing
- as well as being able to participate fully in society
There are many reasons to be excited about the green economy, but here are just a few:
- It protects our air and water quality
- It helps us value the natural resources around us
- It creates jobs in clean energy industries and recycling
- It reduces pollution, which means less asthma, less cancer, and fewer illnesses from dirty air and water
Countries around the world have adopted green economic. It refers to an economic model that aims to ensure that economic growth does not come at the expense of environmental integrity or natural resource conservation. The term was first used in a report by the UN Commission on Sustainable Development in 2000, which defined it as "an economy in which natural capital and human well-being are used sustainably for long-term prosperity."

The world is short on jobs, and social inequality is growing. Modern slavery is a big part of the problem. Modern slavery is a significant issue affecting millions of people worldwide. It's defined as "the use of force, fraud or coercion to exploit vulnerable people for personal or commercial gain." In other words, it's when someone takes away your freedom, controls what you do, keeps you in a state of fear, and makes you work for no pay or even below minimum wage. Slave labor is done while treating the individual like an object rather than a person with rights.
It happens in many ways: through labor exploitation like unpaid internships, bonded labor, or debt bondage.
In the 21st century, we have seen a massive increase in the number of people who are unemployed or underemployed. The increase has led to an increase in homelessness, leading to a rise in crime, ultimately leading to an increase in modern slavery.
